Infant/Toddlers
Ages 12 months to 24 months
Our toddler program is based on a child’s development of learning through play. Play is viewed as the cornerstone of our curriculum. Our toddlers are increasingly mobile and interested in practicing their motor skills. Toddlers are experiencing the world with unlimited energy, enthusiasm and curiosity as they learn to walk, talk and explore on their own. Our rooms are designed to enable our toddler to move about on their own, to explore and test their surroundings. On a daily basis our toddlers are given the opportunity to explore materials and participate in a variety of simulating experiences including, art, music, language development, pre-math skills, nature and dramatic play.
Our primary goal is for your child to feel safe and secure, with our comfortable and predictable care. Our toddler program provides your child with a clean, bright environment, with well trained and caring staff.
Infant/Toddlers
At New Horizons our program supports these developmental needs by providing lots of opportunities for exploration and self-sufficiency in a safe environment which allows plenty of independent and explorative opportunities. We strive to create an environment that is fulfilling, enriching and supporting of all possible learning and growing opportunities as well as understanding the developmental needs of children 12 months to 24 months.
Our toddler curriculum is designed for a group setting but focuses on individual care and skill development. We recognize that toddlers develop at different rates and have different interest. Our small group size and appropriate teacher-child ratios allow for meeting the individual needs of each child.
